Our Mission
Adventist Youth Retreat (AYR) is a weekend designed by young people for young people - ages 12-20 - to ignite the joy of sharing Christ with the world. It is a time where wholesome fellowship is cultivated through worship, uplifting music, powerful presentations by the youth, Christ-centered activities, and outreach. We aspire to build a community of Adventist youth who are inspired, equipped, and empowered to live boldly for Christ.

Jocelyn Koh
President
I live in the beautiful Puget Sound region. I enjoy piano, baking, cooking, hiking, swimming, and skiing. I love singing and praising God with my friends. My favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10. “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”

I live in Western Washington. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, cooking, baking, playing the piano and violin, and designing projects on the computer among other things. One of my favorite Bible verses is Romans 8:28, because it reminds me that God can use even the most difficult situations and turn them into something good.
Joshua Koh

I’m from the Puget Sound and I enjoy football, friendship, history, and cello. I also love hiking, swimming, camping, and skiing. One of my all-time favorite activities is Pathfinder Bible Experience. One of my favorite verses is Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Hi, I'm from Northern Oregon. I enjoy riding and caring for horses, hiking, trail running, snow sports, listening to and making music, and reading my Bible. A couple of my favorite Bible verses are Colossians 3:23 and Philippians 1:21.

Exploring Oregon's mountains and coasts is one of my favorite things to do. When I’m not outside, I spend most of my time coding in Python. I also really like going to youth retreats and meeting new people there. Isaiah 1:18 is a verse that I like to claim.
Emily Palar

I live in Western Washington. I enjoy playing the piano and violin, reading about church history and mission work, as well as blessing others through music. I am passionate about encouraging young people to share their musical talents in their local sphere of influence. Some of my favorite Bible verses are Isaiah 55:8-11.
